They confirmed each and everyone of these grossly unfit cabinet members and they’re trying to gear up to do the same with the attorney general nomination. They can pull the punches pile of train and try to wash their hands of this, but that stench and and stain will never come off.
Good catch on the rhetoric vs. actual votes — plenty of senators grumbling to reporters, but only four House Republicans actually crossed the aisle on war powers, and two of those are already fighting for their seats. That’s the real signal, not the hallway quotes. Also, Thune still backs the SAVE Act itself — he’s just annoyed at how the White House is squeezing votes out of people. That’s distancing from Trump’s tactics, not his agenda.
I wish you luck on The Five. If they bring up the radical Dem socialists, just say at least she isn’t a rapist and / or doesn’t support / protect / befriend pedophiles.
As a true blue Ca Progressive Moderate I’m always a little confused but I “trust the plan” about why we’re against having to show either a birth certificate or passport along with a state photo in order to register to vote?
I understand not everyone has a passport and they cost money and time but a duplicate birth certificate really isn’t that expensive.
I feel like we are kind of behind the 8 ball talking so much about how scary voter ID is when I think that in addition to the criticism of the bill we should be investing in making sure all voters know to get those documents in order.

A lot of people from all parties agree that proof of citizenship ship is a good thing if you want to vote in this country.
There are so many other horrifying things in that bill. I would love to see more people talking about them.
