We’ve picked up a number of new subscribers in the past few days. If you’re new here, thank you and welcome. You’ve come at a good time.
Americans deserve unfettered access to high-quality news, analysis, and opinion. That access is particularly important during election season. As an independent media company, we play a role in making access a reality. This week, we’re hosting a week of free livestreams as our way of affirming this commitment.
Join me, Jessica Tarlov, and Aaron Parnas for five straight days of real-time coverage, all completely free. Full schedule below:
Monday, November 2 – Raging Moderates live at 11 a.m. ET – catch the replay

Go Deeper, Cheaper
We also want to make it more affordable to watch our paywalled content. We’ve put together a special offer: this week only, 26% off (get it?) Prof G+ paid subscriptions, monthly and annual.
Your subscription helps support common sense coverage all year long. It also unlocks some of our most important content from across the Prof G universe.
My (extraordinary) team has been busy:
Last week, head of research Mia Silverio published our bestselling issue of Extra Credit to date, unpacking the Anthropic S-1.
On Friday, we doubled down with our first-ever Extra Credit video debrief. Markets host Ed Elson interviews Mia. In my completely unbiased opinion, it’s the best piece of Anthropic coverage out there right now.
Like usual, we dropped a Deep Dive today. Unlike usual, this one is hosted by a fresh face – associate producer Laura Janer. Reporting live from her native Brazil, Laura sits down with Brian Winter to unpack how President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva managed to clinch an unlikely fourth term, plus what America can learn from Brazil’s election.
Still not convinced? I’ll be presenting my 2027 Predictions on December 7, for paid subscribers only.
There’s never been a better time to upgrade. Grab (or gift) the discount at the link below.
Happy Midterms to all, and to all a good night.
Life is so rich,
Scott

The polls are overestimating the democrat candidate performance by a few percent in most statewide races due to the widening polling error. Should a democrat squeak by with a one point win when the polls said +7, it is not an indictment of the candidate or the policy. It is another reminder that they Trump is involved in anything, the opinion polls are just not accurate. let's make sure that any narrow victory on Wednesday is still a win. Forget the polls as a benchmark.
