Would love to see you guys analyze the long term hit to USA and USA business due to the world no longer using our credit cards, petro dollars no longer being traded, military equipment purchasing being stopped by Canada and Europe. And any other category where our regime is causing other countries to stop doing business. These numbers don’t show up in GDP or companies as line items and thus not many people will understand the future cost to USA as revenue lost.
Might I suggest we let go of the "trump is in over his head" scenario.
I propose we consider:
1 - Trump is executing the platform the big donors hired him for. (After all Koch couldn't run for office and do this: "Let new money do the crass work".)
2 - The first branch has allowed itself to be bullied and bribed out of the citizens' sphere of influence.
3 - There are far more good people in leadership roles willing to take a stand on the side of "establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" and who think globally.
4 - They just need encouragement. Soon dissent will be viral.
I fully agree the Trump Admin is 'breaking' the old System - literally and figuratively.
The old System was outdated, unsustainably imbalanced and systematically served the few at the expense of the many.
But I do not agree that there is no underlying strategy to build a New System.
For example, consider how reliant the US/West is upon China for Critical Products (e.g., rare earths) - a dependency (chokepoint). And how much investment has begun flowing into Critical Product Production in the US/West as a result of the Tariff catalyst.
While many may not like how the admin is doing it (often brash) or the change that will ensue (a lot of wealthy/powerful people benefit from the old System), there is an intentional strategy. And that strategy and it's intent, not the overlaid bias or noise, is what we should be focused on.
Arguing about the symptoms is exactly what adversaries want - that is how you divide and defeat the US from within. To build a better future, we must focus on the foundation - the root of the problems.
We need open, constructive discourse about root issues and related solutions to enable progress. No more band-aids and can-kicking. And no better time to start than now.

As citizens of a republic we have a duty to remember history, precedent, tradition, and calm. These allow us to make our boldest decisions.

I believe many of your assertions are close to what I would consider true.
I'm simply tired of looking at humanity through the window you propose. The mega rich are only doing what we the people via our laws allow.
Corporations exist at the pleasure of the citizenry not the other way around.
Selling folks stuff is easy to do. It's made lots of people very rich.
What about finding a way to make people calmer? To cooperate better? What about inventing new systems that make representation closer to the actual desires of the citizenry?
Consent thinking, care for others, justice, these are super-modular - hence they gain in value when they spread but it's not a value that can be captured by any share holder. In my mind that makes the Republic far more important to improve upon than the economy. And frankly far more valuable.
Put another way: I'm guessing if they could vote, a vast majority of humans would choose to raise their kids peacefully, with food on the table and an education, with healthcare and a voice that matters.
If that's not happening then we as privileged and fervent defenders of the power of the democratic republic have failed at our calling.
