Nor should the criminal acts committed by particular removable noncitizens be dismissed. Immigrants as a broad population should not be characterized as inherently violent; research frequently finds that immigrants have lower overall crime rates than native-born Americans. Nevertheless, citizens have been assaulted, raped or killed by individual offenders who entered unlawfully, reentered after removal or remained despite criminal records and removal orders. Those crimes matter. A government’s first responsibility is to protect its citizens, and preventable victims cannot be erased because they complicate a preferred political narrative.

I would like to see the actual number of people being deported and to where , by who and their actual destination. Is it other country prisions? Is it their country of origin ?
