I love this. With America 250 coming, we're about to be flooded with brands performing patriotism. Heather, as a historian of American institutions, what's the difference between a company that has genuinely become part of the American story and one that's just opportunistically renting the flag? Scott, which corporations do you think have actually earned the right to call themselves American institutions, the ones that invested in workers and communities through downturns when leaving would have been more profitable, that acted for the country when it wasn't good for the brand?

HCR and Prof G are two of my favorite national treasures! I wrote a poem for you, inspired by your bravery and wisdom. Let's keep protesting and unsubscribing together: https://democracydefender2025.substack.com/p/scott-galloway-unsubscribe

Greatly appreciate the work done by both of you!

Something I’ve been meaning to suggest to Scott for some time: We need to reintroduce the word Gentleman to our lexicon!

I grew up in the UK in the 60/70’s and was fortunate enough to attend a very good “secondary” school. I was taught to assist/ encourage/ protect (when necessary!)/champion etc. members of the opposite sex as part of stepping up socially to be more than a “man,” rather a “gentle” man!

In these times of increasing mysogeny and toxic masculinity I wonder if all the conversations around being a better “man” would better resonate if we enhanced our terminology?

Would be thrilled to hear you two discuss the implications of this - especially any historical insights from Heather!

Many thanks

Discuss the corrupt reckoning moments in our history with current corruption and give simple talking points to use in our canvassing efforts for the midterms.

I was able to add The Prof G Pod to apple podacasts, on Safari, macOS Tahoe (Intel). But not able to add No Mercy: Cannot find station (URL). PS, As a retired IT expert, I am quite impressed with the user interface except for one critical detail, no ability to register issues.

hi David! Are you able to add No Mercy by going here? : https://www.profgmedia.com/listen

Scott, can you map the evolution of the GINI coefficient from 1970 to now? Maybe that will provide some sort of evidence of how tax policy should evolve?
