Yes, but greedy companies are realizing this too and are increasing costs. I can't take my family out to a movie anymore without shelling out at least $100. Forget about baseball, football (American), or even concerts. I can't justify paying $200/ticket for nosebleeds at a stadium just to see Metallica. (I went to the legendary tour with GnR in 1992 at RFK and paid $30 a ticket. For the FLOOR).

Here in NYC, we've been JONESING since the Knicks playoffs began 2 months ago-- yielding an overflow of IRL joy and fellowship. Whooping and hugging on the subway and block parties = a TRUE sense of belonging, as perfect-pitch Mayor Mamdani has done his part. Thank you 2026 WORLD CUP for stoking the FLAMES with a high-octane heaping of love and multicultural sportsmanship everywhere.
