In 30 or 40 years, will people look back at photos of us in 2010’s and 20’s faces buried in our phones—the same way we now look at decades-old images of people with cigarettes hanging from their lips?

We need a different kind of social media- one that is boring but useful. That measures itself by how LITTLE you use it. Does the tool work for your personal goals? Or is it needy and hungry?

Fact Check: Gini coefficient and comment correct? When I research sources online the data does not appear to align with .85 statement. Perhaps more assumption this was a USA and/or Global are wrong? While the USA Gini isn’t good overall modern economies don’t seem to fit this extreme sentiment.

Figured it out, it's wealth gini coefficient, which is measured differently than income gini coefficient

Shared the stat with the family (who instantly fact checked it) - I knew you wouldn't have made it up so I got digging and uncovered it

Depressing facts. Thanks Scott for always showing the truth. I frankly don't know how we as a nation are going to recover (if we ever do) from this destructive, immoral, and grifting pos and administration. But I will not give up participating in a correction.

can you please include the source for the gini coefficient - when I fact checked it, it said 0.43

Even more than headsets effing with our peripheral vision, they prevent the activity and perception differences in right eye - left brain hemisphere and left eye - right brain hemisphere functionality as proposed by Iain McGilchrist in his book The Master and His Emissary.

I just had a really interesting conversation with someone who advocates for a decentralized internet, using this kind of corporate attitude toward users and safety as his main argument. I wonder if it’s just a redistribution of power, though, rather than a full dismantling. Anyway would love you thoughts.
